I could never agree with a system which locks people up without access to counsel or the right to defend themselves and question the evidence.<BR/><BR/>There were a couple of things I thought are significant to Webb. One is that there was no lying or skullduggery in an effort to get a confession. The second is that the sentences were relatively short to the kind of huge sentences we impose in this country. The third is that inmate on inmate violence appears to be unheard of, as is inmate rape.
